Gumby and Pokey, and Miami Vice, were immortalized on sweat- shirts, t-shirts, swimsuits, beach towels, socks, and watches. A random survey revealed that the most popular cartoon among REL students was the letsons. The second meet favorite was a three-way tie between Thundercats. Tom and Jerry, and the Flintstones. In third place was He-Man. Also popular was Inspector Gadget. Favorite comic-strip characters included Opus and Penguin of Bloom County and Garfield.
