Fall Homecoming Ganders v . Texnna The week before Homecoming is known as twirp week. During this week the girls get a chance to take the guy or guys they like, out for a date. The Student Council designates a special event for each night of the week. Monday was bowling night. Tuesday was show time. Wednesday was church or Putt-Putt night. Thursday was Pizza time, and Fn- day was the game night. On October 25. 1965. the Robert E. Lee Ganders met at Stallworth Stadium against the Rayburn Texans. The Ganders returned home with a 21 to 14 victory. Of course, then, came the dance. On Saturday night, the stu- dents gathered in the Lee commons for the Homecoming dance, and the crown- ing ol the queen. Jill Hinkle.
