Lee gained a total of 152 yardsg Austin gained 85, Lee had 10 first downs, Austin only 4, Baytown won 50 yards on 9 passes, Austin 26 yards on 3. Orton made 2 touchdowns which were called back, the one score was made by Pillow on a sharp pass from Orton. Watkins scored for Austin on a 75 yard runback, and Higgins converted the extra point that won the game. Brundrett, Kellogg, Stout, and Walmsley shared the Gander running honors. The Gander line, outweighed almost 15 pounds to the man, held the big Maroons to minimum gains on rushing and passing. Hensley, Gary, Lounsberry, Piwetz and Flynt were the outstanding Gander linemen. In 1950 it is a military organization of 14-1 girls. The Corps is a service organization. whose members try to live and serve the highest ideals. They perform at the football games and march in community parades in addi- tion to participation in the entire school and community program. The Brigadiers are governed by elected officers and representatives. Mrs. Carmel Norton, director. and Miss Alvera Griffin, business manager. have led the group for six vears.
