DCM'SIMSRNIIFZBBKMZXIKTRDQZNRNRNXMIIWEWXNRNXW One night after I had retired I lay on my hed thinking about the future. The present seemed to pass from before me and I seemed to be making a tour across the country. I came to a large Motel to spend my first night. when I entered the ogfice to register I saw a fimiliar face at the desk. I recognized him to be Jackie Howington as owner. Jackie's dreams had come true. Leaving the Motel in the morning,I journeyed on. I drove into a large srrvice station to have my car serviced. To my surprise I found that Gene , Shaw was the owner of the station. Gene was very happy in this business, As I continued my journey I came into a large city. Soon I found myself inside of a gigantic building. Looking around I saw that I was inside of a large radio station. No other than Jack McDonald was the announcer. Jack said,'I expect to make this my lifetime job.' As I walked out of the radio station, I met a man in blue uniform whom I recognized to be Joel Shultz. Joel was serving as city chief of police. I turned around and met two girls going down the street. I was delighted to find that they were the same old pals, Linda McDonald, and Penny Baxley. Linda and penny were on their way home sig? from the school inwhich they had become teachers. I turned and saw on- the street, three ladies in white uniform as they were coming out of n a large drugstore. They were none other than Barbara Hill, Mary Lee f Terry, and Jean Smith, who were now all graduated nurses and enjoying their position in a nearby hospital. This scene slipped from me and ' I found myself in A large cafeteria for lunch. Here I discovered that Eva Mae Pankey was diction and Gail Long cashier.,As this scene faded I found myself nearing a beautiful farmhouse. Here I found f peggy Smith to be the housewife. Peggy had found the man of her f dreams and married him. Leaving this scene,I found myself in a studio where the people were laughing to the to? of their voices. I looked fl on the stage and saw Zebbie Web. Zebbie ad become a highclassed f commedian on radio. The scene changed and I saw a sign which said, nLampley and Lovin Beauty Shop.W To my surprise the owners were Mildred Lampley and Dorothy Lovin. As I left the city I saw two L1 young soldiers standing on the corner thumbing their way bark to camp. I discovered that it was Laverne Shultz and Bobby Carraway. f Laverne and Bobby said that they were to receive a release from the army soon and intended to return to good old Roberdell to make A it their home. Arriving in another city,I visited a bookshop. Here I found that Ella Pankey was general manager and Navada Currie was 1 assistant manager. Next I went into a telephone office and here ' I found Betty Jo Howington secretary to the telephone company. . H Suddenly the scene changed and I found myself in a State Teacher's ' College. Here to my surprise,I met Robert Dobbins.
