Below. King Mark Pester adds the crowning touch to surprised Queen Mary Otto. Homecoming 1980 proved to be the school year’s most spirited week with its level reaching 90 proof. The week’s festivities kicked off with the traditional king and queen coronation resulting in the selection of Mark Pester and Mary Otto as Robbinsdale’s new reigning royalty. Other activities highlighting the week were the arm wrestling competition, the best lips and legs contest, and the faculty-cheerleader volleyball game. HOMECOMING These activities led up to the Friday night parade and football game. The Robins failed to “Mistweet the Orioles,” losing to the powerful Osseo team 34-8. The loss failed to dampen the students’ festive spirit, however, as the week ended with the Saturday night dance and other celebrations throughout the communitv. Above. Homecoming Court.
