This, the seventh edition of RippleS, encompasses the signifi- cant and insignificant events of 1959. We, the staff, hope that we can recap- ture a living picture of the accomplishments of the past school year - academically, sportswise, socially. Holding this in mind, we are proud to present the RippleS of '59.

DEDICATION Several years ago there strode from the campus of Penn State an Irishman with a sheet of parchment stating that the holder was qualified to be an instructor in English and Social studies. In the ensuing years at Roaring Spring he was not only to prove himself most com- petent in these fields, but also to demon- strate excellence as a coach of football and basketball and a director of class plays. Thus, it is with greatest pride and ad- miration that the staff dedicates the '59 RippleS to Joseph J. Conlon - teacher, coach, director, and friend.
