The House of Representatives The House of Representatives is composed of representatives from each tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade homeroom. Coun- cil projects this year included holding the annual Christmas dance and twirp week. The house also published a student directory and handbook. Funds were raised by the House and other contributors to sponsor the fifth AFS student for 1971-72. Roanoke Rapids host- ed the Eastern District NCASC convention. The Junior High Student Council meets every first and third Friday of each month. Each year the Junior Council sponsors several dances and for the last two years has sold school calendars. We send repre- sentatives to the state and dis- trict conventions each year where our students have demon- strated their leadership qualities. The Junior Council is especially proud of its citizenship award which is presented to a deserving student each year. The Council also crowns its own “‘‘sweet- heart’ each year around Valen- tines.
