The purposes of the Library Club are to increase pupil interest and participa- tion in library work and to promote interest in the study of librarianship as a profession. The club meets twice o month to study library procedures and policies. Social meetings are held frequently in the homes of the members. The Roanoke Rapids chapter of the Future Teachers of America is open to seniors who are interested in exploring the nature of teaching, its opportunities and responsibilities. The programs are designed to aid the members in studying and identifying the qualities, traits, and aptitudes which are basic or related to successful teaching. Each member is provided opportunities to participate in activities that will help him to choose the field of preparation for his future teaching.
