The purpose of the French Club is to better acquaint French students with f France--its people, its customs, and the practical use of the language. The club presented an assembly pro- gram, contributed to the French Tuber- culosis Fund and the Key Club concession stand project, in addition to donating several French books to the library. S A Social activities included a Christmas party and a dance in the spring. The club programs included games and songs in French, and several mem- bers had French correspondents. The Camera Club has as its objectives, the stimulating of interest and activity in photography. During the year the club has had instruction in darkroom technique, prac- tical work in developing and finishing photos, and has sponsored a school-wide snapshot contest. The club also exhibited prints of the prize-winning snapshots entered in the National Scholastic Press Association's High School contest last year.

The F. B. L. A. is the national organi- zation for students in business education. Membership in the F. B. L. A. indicates not only an interest in preparing for employment in the field of business, but also in experience which will strengthen and develop the individual. F. B. L. A. projects for this year were selling stationery and addressing Easter Seal Envelopes for Halifax County. On March i4-I5 the local F. B. L. A. attended the State Convention, which was held in Asheville, N. C. Last fall F. B. L. A.'s representative in the Homecoming Court, Faye Berry, was elected Miss Roanoke Rapids High School.
