M W N the Spring of l9l8, I-ligh School organized the first Junior Red Cross f Auxiliary in the schools of Roanoke. The officers were elected and the Red Cross flag was raised in the presence of the whole student body. The girls began at once to sew for the Belgian babies and both girls and boys took great interest in making scrap books for the soldiers. New officers were elected last Fall, and although the war has terminated, the whole school body is ready to assist in doing anything which the Red Cross Headquarters might ask of us. The entire school is represented in this organization with a one hundred per cent. membership. We carried on our campaigns in each classroom separately and Miss l..ovelace's room has the honor of going over the topn before any other class in both of the campaigns which we have waged.
