Z6 Two weeks later we went to Blacksburg where we met with a great sur- prise, being defeated by them 26 to 5. Our team was in a bad condition and was handicapped by the size of the floor. None of the team played up to the standard. Holt starred for Blacksburg High by her accurate shooting, scor- ing 24 of the 26 points. This was the most successful season the Girls' Basket-ball Team has ever experienced. We won four out of five games, defeating two teams that were never defeated before, Blacksburg and Marion.
