95 HEUEUS uf13ua11uke 1917 The Snapshot T was near the latter part of September and colleges were opening for their term's work. Boys and girls were returning to their respec- tive schoolsg some would enter the Senior Class, some the Junior, some the Sophomore and some the Freshman. The day was bright and fair, and Ned Mathews was standing on the platform of the little station of Burnsville bidding his friends good-bye. Ned and Billy renewed their conversation but in a somewhat lower tone. and every little while each would steal a glance at the girl across the aisle. All that they could see was a girl dressed in a dark brown suit with heavy fur trimming, a big velvet hat and little bronze boots to match. Her hat was tilted on one side and this prevented the boys from seeing her face. In a few min-
