While our team didn't abound in victories, it surely had the old Irish Spirit. And it was this spirit which cheered on the R.C.H. team during the long winter months. Under Coach Pete Wiggins, the boys practiced hard and managed to pull a few welcome victories from their determined opponents. Irish fans saw this spirit in the pregame pep rallies led by the school cheer- leaders, in the hallway buzz just before the boys left on a road trip. But most of all, our spirit showed itself in the roar of the fans during the heat of a hard-fought game as the Irish charged down court to dunk another two-pointer. This year likewise proved to be one of invaluable experience for the up-and-coming players whowillbecome, in a few years, our Irish Varsity. We all hope the Irish Spirit will grow with the new school and see abetter and better Irish team with more and more Irish victories.
