Senior Flag 'Mumba Jumbo' was the play given by the seniors on April 24. lt was a mystery farce in three acts. As a whole the play cast enioyed very much the rehearsals as well as the production of the play. The committees for the play were very important in helping to make the production of the pldy a success. They were made up from the whole senior class. Class History We entered the first grade the first part of September, 1941, with Miss McCleary as our teacher. There were 28 af us that started school life together. They were the following: Marvin Aeschleman, Gary Bertola, Bob Blunier, Jim Cravens, Clark Davies, Francis Fuchs, Jim Gialetti, Amand Lepretre, Robert Lovings, Bob Luginbuhl, John McCauley, LeRoy Monge, Lee Roger Pretet, Jerome Ruble, Gene Santi, Clark Schoan, Roger Whittington, Danny Wolfe, Frances Audi, Margie DeJohn, Sonya Belle Davis, Laverne Fischer, Jean Funk, Marilyn Hangartner, Eileen Nauman, Gwen Orussa, Anita Sansone, and Sally Sauder. y In the second grade we lost Jean Funk and Eileen Nauman. Miss Hiatt was our teacher. In the third grade, Florence Blunier was our teacher. We gained Margaret Hasty and lost Roger Whittington and Sonya Belle Davis. In the fourth grade, Florence Bresson was our teacher. We gained Dick Audi, Eileen Nauman, Karen Taylor, and Marilyn Martin and lost Francis Fuchs. ln the fifth grade, we gained Bob Lovings, Bob Schacherbauer, Larry Fash, Aldo Nauman, and Ruth Vogel. Fern Zimmerman was our teacher. ln the sixth grade, we gained Marvin Fischer. This year we had Frances Riley as our teacher. In the seventh grade, Mrs. Miller was our teacher. We gained Jerry Hadel, Fred Pisel. Charles Schlossler and Mae Kinder. We last Marilyn Hangartner. ln the eighth grade, we gained Joe Klein and Geraldine Friend and lost Mae Kinder. Our officers for the year were Jim Cravens, President, Gary Bertola, Vice-President, Gwen Orussa, Secretary, John McCauley, treasurer. Our teacher was Miss Alma Caldwell. We held graduation exercises in May of 1949. Jim Cravens and Gwen Orussa were given the school awards. We, the class of '49, paid the balance of a movie projector, bought a typewriter and stand, and a wire recorder. Seven- teen of the original class graduated. When Miss Caldwell left, we held a party for her and pre- sented her with several silver dollars. We entered High School the latter part of August. We starred high school with thirty-eight fresh- men. Our freshmen officers were John McCauley, President, Jim Cravens, Vice-President, Gary Bertola, Secretary, and Margie DeJohn, Treasurer. Mr. Cravens was our sponsor. Our Student Council members were John McCauley, Larry Fash, and Frank Bachman. Our first main event was initiation. We also had a skating party and a wiener roast our first year. In our Sophomore year, we lost Amand Lepretre, Frank Bachman, and Ruth Vogel. We gained Marilyn Hangartner. Mr. Seibold was our sponsor. Our officers were Jim Cravens, President, Bob Luginbuhl, Vice- President, Eileen Nauman, Secretary, and John McCauley, Treasurer. Our Student Council repre- sentatives were Jim Cravens, Gerry Friend, and Bob Luginbuhl. At the end af our Junior year, we lost Clark Schoan and Aldo Nauman. We gained Jean Funk. Mr. Seibold andMiss Danielson were our sponsors. Uur officers this year were Roger Wilson, President, Eileen Nauman, Vice-President, Gwen Orussa, Secretory, and Gary Bertola, Treasurer. Student Council: Roger Wilson, Lee Pretet, Jim Cravens, Bob Luginbuhl, and Margie DeJohn. Our two main events this year were our play, 'Love is Too Much Trouble, and our Jr.-Sr. Banquet. Both were great successes.
