Alumni Basketball Section, 1924-1925 The Roanoke Alumni Basket Ball Team, all of whom were Roanoke Boys, comprised one of the best teams that Roanoke has ever had. We have every reason to be proud of them for their' fast and clean playing. While they did not win such a large percent of their games, we must remember that they played the fastest teams in this and other sections. They lost several heart- breaking games by just a few points, in fact, they lost three games by just one point, two games by just two points, and two games by just three points. The team was composed of Captain Henry Sand, Eugene Audi and Leslie Brown, forwards, Gaylord Woltzen, Center, and Sam Zimmerman, Omer Greuter and Fred Gudeman, guards.
