j ff X ff' -apr dx Ill F F A and VO AG This has been a year which has se med to be crammed with special problems, par ticularlr with respect to the local F F A program and the Vo Ag program First in importance is the small enrollment in Vo Ag only six boys There were only lL boys in high school, three of whom had completed their work in Vo Ag, and four of whom were freshmen to whom Vo Ag was not offered this year A study in to the future indicates that we can expect more boys twenty or more within two to three years This latter study was one which convinced the patrons of the community that it would be worthwhile to provide shop facilities which would meet w h the approval of the state Department of Vo Ag As a result, we are now in the process of building a new shop buildhug For some time material has been on the 5r0UndB,ih0 trenches have been dug for the foundation of the new building, and some equip- ment has been stored in the old shop building All of these factors have handi capped this year's shop program to some extent In spite of these problems and others, we have endeavored to carry on a program which will provide a basis for an expanded future Vo Ag and F F A program In addition to the ordinary work in the Vo Ag class, the F F A boys have taken part in some special activities For instance, we held a local Tractor Driving Contest, the winner, Rex Ekwall, representing us in the County Tractor Driving Contest held at the Gage County Fair, we held a local public speaking contest, the winner, Jim Smith, renresentinr ue 4' the D4 rict '.'.A. c--zest Feld at Dewitt, all of the boys attended and participated in the state Judging Contests at Lincoln, and while there attended the State F.F.A. convention. dc believe that we have made progress tb's year, and that we are prepared to start building up a much stronger program. f'v -Agg,,,,,,a----:Ia , , ,e,- f 'I-di Y Y o vw ff' 1 gg L gf, pgs, f-s ,P e 1 C C , pi:'4 , ,- X E xl.
