UHLOI' Cla!! The Junior Class of 49 and the coming Senior Class of 50 consists of nine pupils seven girls and two boys Naomi Frantz onne Howard Mary White and Helen Lmsenmeyer played on the vol leyball team These girls and Letha Epp also played on the softball tearns Dan Switzer played on the baseball team and the first teaxn in basketball He won the honor of being placed on the second all star tearn of the Southern Gage Conference Mary and Naomi were cheerleaders and all the girls in the class were members the Pep Club Mary Naomi and Al Jean Wilson were members of the octet this year Yvonne and Helen were in the trio Helen Yvonne and Al Jean sang solos and Letha Epp played a violin solo at the Mudecas and District Contests and the Music Festival at Fllley Letha was in the one act play Balcony Scene given at Adams Most of the Juniors gave readings at the speech contest These people were Naomi Al Jean Yvonne Helen and Donna Cody One of the mam events for the Juniors was the presentation of their play The Groom Said No All of the class with Letha as assistant director participated ln the play We borrowed two Sophomore boys and one Freshman girl The play was successful and we The next event was the Junior Senior Banquet The banquet theme was The Garden of Tomorrow The banquet was semiformal following the custom of the last few years The Jumor Class members have taken it for granted that they will be Seniors next year Class rings have been ordered CLASS OFFICERS President Letha Epp Vice President and Secretary Mary White Treasurer Dan Switzer We wish to congratulate the Seniors of 49 for their successful four years of high school We also wish them the best of luck in the years that are ahead We hope that our Senior year will be even more successful if possible than the present Seniors have found theirs Class Flower American Beauty Rose Class Colors Blue and Silver Motto In Ourselves Our Future Lies 14 I . . . of had a large crowd considering the bad weather.
