Through the continual effort of all those on the Yearbook Staff and Mrs. Peters, our sponsor, this, the ECHOES of 1950, was produced. It was our duty to produce a pictorial account of the year, and this is the result. We are proud to present this book to the stu- dents, faculty, and all our friends. We hope you will like it. Our greatest job was to finance our book. You probably wondered why we went to all the trouble of selling candy and gum at the Snack Bar every afternoon, well--it was for the purpose of making money so that we could give you a better yearbook. Remember the Coronation? That was our little project too. We enjoyed sponsoring it, and sincerely hope you had an evening of fun that you will always remember. So, fellow students, we hope that we have given you a book of memories that you will treasure forever and ever. . ,- ?'v255f394'fv ww N X . , X .-93,517 1'- '7-' W' 1 ' . 1 I - . xx Jz, 53

Sllllll HZIIII llll MR. FOREES. The Student Council is the student government of Riverview Gardens High School. The President and Vice-President are elected by the stu- dent body, and each class elects two members--one boy and one girl to serve on the Council. This year, under the able guidance of their President, Ronald Trampe, the Council started a series of radio programs. These programs included speeches given by the Council members and members of the faculty. The subjects, not ordinarily presented in the classroom included, At- tendance, School Spirit, Appreciation of School, Conduct in Assemblies, Looking Toward the Future, and many others. The Council also superviseda very successful Cavalcade, our annual carnival at which each class and organization sponsors money-making attractions. As we look back over the year, we can see many fine things that have been accomplished by our Student Council. We hope that next year we will have another group of ambitous, capable students at the head of our student government. 52 FIRST ROW: B. ALTMAN, H. BURTON, S. KASTRUP, F. MANSKE, B. PREVALLET, M.
