SECOND ROW: COACH HALL, EHERY GREEN, Bon Gum-1, GALBERT HUENKE, NORMAN HEIRONIMUS, DUDLEY HUETT, ARTHUR ELLERSIECK. The Varsity Basketball team, matched with strong competition, experienced a tough season but still fought into third place in the North County League, with a four win-four loss showing. ' The team's seasonal record was eight wins and fourteen losses. The Rams, by other coaches, were called Coach I-Iall's tall boys , although there are two exceptions on the team. The individual members of the aggregation fulfilled their duties capably throughout the entire campaign. Bob Gunn, Art Ellersieck and Dudley Huett, all over six foot, alter- nated at the forward positions during the year. All three were hard driving point makers. The center position was held down by Gil Huenke who had an eye for hook shots. On set shots and drive-ins Norm Heironimus, Bill Parker, Ray Kiel, and Bob Wright were capable of setting up at guard positions. Norm Heironimus and Bill Parker are over six foot, Bob Wright and Ray Kiel both tower five foot eight inches. Coach Hall will have only one letterman graduating from the squad, who is Bob Gunn, the team captain. The team looks forward to a better season next year with Norm Heironimus and Dudley Huett both two year lettermen, Gil Huenke, Art Ellersieck, Ray Kiel, Bob Wright, and Bill Parker are one-year lettermen in basketball. ff' t sd T Q ? i n he 4 , R ' E 5-1 -is 'Yi 42

Although not winning all their games, they carried home eight out of ten victories. Next year, under the same watchful eye of Coach Hall, we are going to expect a championship team from these boys.
