But the teacher to whom this annual is dedicated is one who prac- tices this verse every day, She is Mrs. Margaret Sprinkle. Mrs. Sprinkle has taught for ten years at Riverton Grade School. And for those past ten years she has taken a personal interest in every child that steps in- to her classroom. She helps each child as much as possible. She also trains children for future life-for a teacher affects eternity. You never know where their influence stops. So we, the 1973-74 Dynamo Staff, dedicate this yearbook to Mrs. Margaret Sprinkle. Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace, By Terri Anderson Mrs. Margaret Sprinkle HI!! Seeing is believing - Finding the perimeter. THE BEGINNING W COOKS KEEP US WELL FED A Elephant Stew 1 elephant Pepper salt 2 rabbits loptionall Cut elephant into bite size pieces. This usual- t ly takes about two months. Add enough brown gravy to cover. Cook over kerosene fire for about 5 weeks at 4500. This will serve 4,000 people, If more are expected, the rabbits may be added, but do this only if necessary, as most people do not Q like to find hare in their stew, five-Ta, iCopiedl g A It When the girls make home made bread, they also have their regular product to make. So they try to make 34 loaves. That isn't enough for one day so they make bread twice a week. Carol Jarvis-Stacks and stacks of dishes. The Eighth Grade Junior Rams repeated as Cherokee-Crawford County Junior League Champs going undefeated in league play for the second straight year. According to Coach Treehce, the season opening 32-20 defeat of Girard was possibly the finest performance of any Riverton Junior High team in recent years. The following week the Rams defeated always tough Columbus, 20-0, The Rams next invaded Baxter and were once more victorious by a 28-12 margin. The next game proved to be the most difficult test as a last minute touchdown pass provided a 20-12 vic- tory over Galena. The last league test showed the power of the Rams with a 44-12 trouncing of the Northeast Vikings. 8th Grade H1 Offensive Team, LEFT TO RIGHT: Nlark Shallen- burger, Wayne Weaver, Rusty Livingston, Bobby Smith, Pal- mer Green, Jimmy DeGraff, Ro- bert Kitch, Curt Dudley, Jimmy Rogers, Phillip Street, Terry Newcomb, David Graham. 8th Grade F2 Offensive Team, LEFT TO RIGHT: Mark Shallenburger, Donnie De- Graffenreid, Jeff Rogers, Mike Barnett, Wayne Mc- Donald, Chris Basham, Jim- my Rogers, Kris Morgan, Wayne Weaver, Mike French, Brian Burrows, David Graham. Anderson A typical day in the third grade begins with the familiar Flag Salute. Then the soft, kind, voice of Mrs. Kapple is heard taking roll call. Her voice is just a minute sample of the joy and kindness she gives to everyone that meets her. Mrs. Kapple teaches boys and girls how to turn from the road of failure to a life of success. She does this by loving and giving a part of herself to each and every child that goes through her class. A person like this is loved by everyone around her. The people that will be in the third grade after this year will' not know what they are missing, But the people that were fortunate enough to have her as a teacher will always remember her, and her friends, who are too numerous to count, will never forget such a sweet woman. And I am certain that everyone at Riverton will be regretful when she retires, to lose such an outstanding teacher and person as lVlrs. Belle Kapple. , H, ,ld . Mrs. Kepple in her beautiful new home. No Birthday is forgotten in Mrs. KappIe's class! 36 A LITTLE CLGSER fi th W ix GRADE FIVE - TEACHER - MARGARET SPRINKLE K av Y- A ' mf? Tim Daniel .
