Sounds! Sounds! Beautiful Sounds! Clarinets, flutes, piccolos, trumpets, trombones, bass, and drums are some of the instruments appreciative audiences will hear when the concert band performs at various school programs. District parades would not be complete without Riverton's Grade School Marching Band. Christmas parades entered included Baxter, Galena, Columbus. l The Sound Of Music The girls' glee club, under the direction of Miss Sara Gilstrap, is composed of voices from the seventh and eighth grades. Music Time Is Pleasure Time This band is composed of beginning band students, mostly from the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. They receive instruction in the rudiments of music, music appreciation and the close concentration required to play together as a unit. These future violinists are willing to put in the long hours of practice necessary to create a good concert orches- tra. These beginning students are from the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. 16
