Y- ' Riverton Vifolverines copped 3rd place at the Fremont County meet Randy Bart0nA2nd in Shotput and 4th in Discus at District-set new school of high winds. Randy Barton was the only double winner of the day. f9C0fd in Sh0fPUI and DiSCl1S- at Morton. Riverton's 8841-yard relay team set a new record in spite winning the shot and setting a new record in the discus with a distance of 132' 8 5 18 , At the Cody Invitational, Riverton placed third behind Cody and Powell. Randy Barton won both the shotput and discus setting a new school record of 110' in the discus. Rodney VonKrosigk. Boh Butcher. Ray Bickel. and Gene Warnock established a new school record in the R80 yard relay with a time of 1:37.25 The Vfolverines finished the regular track season in a tie with the Cody Broncs as Co-Champs of the Big Horn Basin District Track Meet with 53 points. It was truly a team victory with many of our men contributing points. Keith Lange, Rodney Vonlirosigk. Gene Warnock. and Stan Bryant set a new meet and school record in the mile medley with a time of 3:50.-1. Richard Brown. Randy Barton. Stan Bryant, Keith Lange. Charles Hull. Dennis Fike. Rodney Vonlirosigk. and Gene Warnock qualified for the State Meet in Casper on May 20 and 21. I37
