FRESHMEN-THE COURT ,IESTERS On September 6, 1948, thirty-seven scared little freshmen began their first year of training at R.H.S. as Court Jesters. Class oflicers 'for the year were Mary Evelyn Potter, president: Peggy Stringer, vice-president: Patricia Rogers. secretary: and Patricia Galbraith, treasurer. Miss Mary Louise Atkins and Mr. Arley B. Culbertson were chosen as class sponsors. Iva Jo Hall and William Jarvis were chosen as the class princess and the prince. Patricia Galbraith and Peggy Stringer were class cheerleaders. Eight of the freshman class were in the high school band and twenty-three took part in either the boys' or girls' glee club. The freshman class enjoyed many class parties during the year, including a Christmas party on December 22, 1948. On March 18, 1948, their class play, A'Young, Willing, and Able was presented in the high school auditorium. The play was considered a success by all who saw it.
