ROYAL COACHE Our three busses have served us in many ways. They have carried students to and from school daily. taken the music groups to various places. and taken the athletic organizations to games away from home. We are indeed pleased to have such modern and safe transportation facilities as we now enjoy. AND COACHMEN PRICE KIRK FLOYD POTTER HUGH DOBKINS, JR. DALE CARD J. W, JAMES Price Kirk, custodian, was an ever present part of Riverton High School. Dad as he is known to all of the students, has been here twelve years. Floyd Potter was the driver of the Lowell bus. He has been at RHS for the past eleven years. . Hugh Dobkins, Jr. has been with us for the past three years. He was the driver of the Neutral bus. Dale Card was the driver of the Lostine bus for the first semester, but due to illness he was unable to continue. J. W. James was the driver during the second semester. Electron Page Ten

THE NOBLES OF THE COURT On September 3, 1945, forty-two green little freshmen started out as Court Jesters. They elected as their able-bodied leaders, Carl Hall, president: Norma Lathrop, vice-president: Jearldine Vtlebb, secretary: and Harold Dean Mishler, treasurer. Miss Avis Parsons and Mr. S. J. Neher were the capable sponsors. The class prince and princess were Evalee Potter and Bobby Gene Mitchell. The play presented that year was Wildcat Willie in the Doghouse. After three months of vacation, thirty-four eager little sophomores again returned to RHS. This time they entered as Royal Pages. They chose for their oflicers: Lawerence Whitehead. president: Jearldine Webb, vice-president: Evalee Potter, secretary: and Jack Watson, treasurer. The sponsors for this part of the journey were Miss Jane Hughes and Mr. Forrest D, Haines. Thc successful class play that year was Let Me Out of Here. The class prince and princess were Marian Pickering and Richard Pennock. Again after three months of much needed rest, twenty-nine anxious students returned and were promoted to the position of Squires. The officers during this year were Edna Coffman, presidentg Bobby Gene Mitchell, vice-president: Lloyd Dean Williams, secretary: and Jearldine Vklebb, treasurer. The sponsors chosen for this year were Miss Jane Hughes and Mr. Raymond A. King. Marian Pickering was the successful candidate for Sweetheart Queen. Joyce Dene Laughlin and Jack Watson were the class princess and prince. The class play chosen for this year was l'Here Comes Charlie and was announced a success by all who saw it. On September 6, 1948, twenty-nine dignified but curious seniors enrolled for the last time at Riverton High School. They now held the position of Nobles. They elected their capable officers: Max Livingston, president: Bobby Gene Mitchell, vice-president: Wanda Williams, sec- retary: and Lyle Ballard, treasurer. They again chose Miss Jane Hughes and Mr. Raymond A. King as their sponsors. Marian Pickering and Bobby Gene Mitchell were elected as the King and Queen of the 1949 Electron. The football captain was Bobby Gene Mitchell and the basketball captain was Jack Watson. Joyce Dene Laughlin represented the class as football attendant. Ina Rae McGuire was the successful candidate for Sweetheart Queen. Polly Craig was the senior cheerleader. The play for this year was Gangway For Ghosts and was a huge success. Some of the outstanding boys in athletics were Jack Watson, Bobby Gene Mitchell, Bobby Howard, Clarence Watson, William Hall, Lyle Ballard. Lloyd Dean Williams, and Harold Dean Mishler. Members of the senior class who participated in the musical activities were Marian Picker- ing, Joyce Harvey, Ina Rae McGuire, Joyce Dene Laughlin, Jack Watson.
