CLASS PROPHECY Dear Readers: This columnist has attended the reunion of the class of '48 at Riverton High School, May 6, 1968. Here is the latest scoop. Dr. Harlan Mills, top notch scientist with the Lovelorn Laboratories, has 'successfully isolated the Virus XO which has caused the spring epidemic of love-sickness. He is planning to vaccinate. Wayne Kirk. the labor leader for the H. D. D. CHeavy Duty Dodgersj has called the members out on a sitldown strike. His latest statement to the press: This is a pressing problem. but we will sit it out. Horace Saunders, the iron magnate, has received a very difficult assignment from' the government-that is to manufacture a transparent iron curtain so we can see through Russia. Lorraine Gist and Freda Bilke have pooled talents and now operate the successfubbeauty clinic, Lor-Reda, Redu and Renu Salon. The two business women specialize in diet and dye it. Freda for the figure and Lorraine for the hair. Raymond Paul is the new Johnnie for Phillip Morris. The future call for Phillip Morris is little Johnny Lee Paul who calls his mother Evalee-- Potter that was. Arthur Stephen Carnahan, brilliant novelist, has written an intellectual study on the love-life of a potato bug. intriguingly titled, So Long Spud. Steve's book has been banned in Boston. The featured singer at the Swanky Supper Club, south of Joplin, is the exotic Erma- Myers, that is. We hear she is singing her torchiest numbers especially for the sauve, but seldom sober, Homer Jones, proprietor. Miss Dora Lou Scott heads the exclusive Kiddies Kare Nursery-only children with hand- some fathers are accepted. David Osborn, famous for his 1,500 word essays, Winchell Style, is the newest scoop snoop on N.Bf.C. His program is called You Still It. I Spill It and his theme song is I Wonder Who's Suing Me Now. Louise Gibson and her husband, Bill Mann, are truck farmers of Quaker Valley. So far they haven't raised a single successful crop. Buddy Ball is Cherokee County's outstanding truant officer. During the spring. fall or winter he sees that the schools have record attendance. Professor James Grimes has just about completed that space ship for his planned zoom to the moon. when asked why he wanted to be the first to make this daring expedition, he exclaimed, I believe that the man in the moon is a woman-ahhhhhhl !. Betty Frazier stars in the new daytime serial, Life Can Be Moisturizedf' sponsored by Clarence Merrill, the Fu-Suds soap king. The latest is that everything isn't too Toni with their marriage. Geanne-that is Jean Mast-the new dictator of the fashion world fiew down from Kansas City, the Paris of the U. S. Geanne is the creator of the new look for this season, the Tea Bag Line. That couple you have noticed flying low was Walter Ballard and Juanita Livingston. Walter's the chief pilot for the TWA and Juanita is the stewardess. I wonder why Walter has the automatic pilot set most of the time? Could be he is searching for-Livingston???? Bill Miller was Riverton's number one dog catcher-that is until the other day when he hauled in the mayor's pedigreed daschund by mistake and now he is sure Riverton is going to the dogs. Bill Kirk was there looking very bronzed and brawny. He is the new golf professional at the Country Club. We hear he is planning to take off with his caddy cutie, Tama Kuns. N. J. Coyle is that swooney screen wolf. whose latest starring role with the Eager Beaver, Inc., was Coyote Call. Oh, yes, playing opposite him was that beautiful blonde known as Dorthea , better known to you as Dorothy Pigg. Joanne'Qualls is now the most famous woman lawyer and instead of giving her most valuable advice to her clients, it still goes to Jack Baumann, her silent partner. Jack, as you krlilowl, is still trying to change the government and has been ever since his senior days in high sc oo . ' Thomas Garber was present looking very debonair.
