Q DBIJIILFJTIBS Every year the four classes in school each give a play. They take approxi- mately iive weeks to prepare for it. Each student has an opportunity to try out for a part. The sponsors then pick out the cast and the supporting com- mittees such as the stage crew, makeup department, prompters, and ushers. These plays give the students a chance to learn to speak before audiences and help give them poise and balance when speaking before an audience. The money taken in goes into the class activity fund. l For outstanding work done in speech and dramatics during the past twelve years. we dedicate this page to Jane Marie, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo D. Wil- liams. She won her iirst declamation contest as a first grade student in 1935, and has continued her line work in dramatics and speech through high school. , Jane has won nine first places, four second places, and three third place awards. She has been awarded ten medals, six rib- L bons, four trophies, and two scholarships. JANE MARIE WILLIAMS Electron Page Twenty-nine
