BUSSES AND MAINTENANCE i H I l X1 lille ki i . Our three busses have made it possible for many students to attend high school who other- wise might have been deprived of the opportunity. The busses have made four high school routes each day, and in addition have brought the Lowell and Blackjack district grade students to school. They have taken the band on trips to participate in parades at Kansas City, Claremore. Miami, Joplin, Weir, and the Festival at Oswego: and the mixed chorus to sing at Coffeyville, District Teachers' Meeting. Our football and basketball teams have used them for their trips to other schools. Modern transportation facilities such as we have are safer than ever before and add a great deal to the enjoyment of our daily school life. . . ,e A Si g :'t' A 7 i ' 5 L- WMI, V lqqu PRICE KIRK FLOYD POTTER HUGH DoBK1Ns, JR. Our custodians and bus drivers have made possible our pride in a well kept school build- ing, grounds, and busses. They have the responsibility for the care and protection of the entire school plant and its equipment. We give them our thanks not only for their efficient service and their interest but also for their friendship. We know that they are always ready and willing to help us at any time. We take pleasure in dedicating this page to them as an expression of our appreciation. Iilcclmn Page Ten

SUPERINTENDENT LEO A. SANBORN Riverton High School tries to serve as many families as possible to the best of its ability. The administration of a school such as ours is a great responsi- bility. Classroom schedules, bus routes, extra bus trips, ball games, plays, assem- blies, contests, and budget planning are a few of the activities to which the superintendent must give of his time and energy. Mr. Leo A. Sanborn has been our superintendent for the past four years. He has contributed much to our school life through his tireless efforts by spend' ing so much of his time working for a better school. He has been always ready to cooperate with everyone for the benefit of the school. He has done his best to secure materials and equipment for the school during a year when material was scarce, and it took much of his' own time for this difficult task. He surely has done his share to give Riverton the kind of school we have. The school and the community have much for which to thank him. -Seniors of '47 Electron Page Nine
