Assistants chosen were: Marian Brewer. first assistant: George Scott, second assistant: NVilma June Bailey. third assistant. Our play Everybody's Getting Married was well attended. Mable Christy won third place in a scholarship contest at Pittsburg in geome- try. Another high light in our second year at Riverton High School was our sophomore class queen for the Electron. Fern Augustus. We placed tive of our boys on the football team: two on the first team basketball team. and six on the second team. We enjoyed two parties. a George Washington's birthday party and an Armistice Day party. We have accomplished many things this year and it has urged us to return to do greater things during the coming years. After two years spent in searching for achietement. vse disregarded our fo.mcr methods and tuned in fifty-three radios to the activities Of Riverton High School. We secured Miss Board and Mr. Chaney to be our master operators. Ou' first assistant. Rosa Vlae XX infrey. proved to be a wery efficient operator. She was ably as'isted by Rebecca Taber an Fritz Lyscio. eah Jean XVilliams led us in broadcasting our pep and enthusiasm. NVe placed three members on our champion basketball team: four members on the B championship team: five members on our volley ball team which won the Mo-Kan League tournament. NVe also placed members on the track and baseball teams. Radios throughout the country were tuned in to hear the broadcast of our play. His Ozark Cousin presented April I. Betty Stempke was second in the race for Electron Queen. Our year's work was climaxed by a banquet for the seniors.
