Key Club with Witch Flying Over City. s -. - -L ' ' TA Lisa Schuljak and Joe Kenny display y their artistic ability in carving pumpkins. Lisa Rochford, Laura Metcalf, Dana A Rasp, and Jeff Jones show their style of people watching as they advance in their senior year. ■ Claire Binder mimed her way through r the picnic activities, which is difficult for a freshman girl. Bobby Alvarez and Mary Jane Flores enjoy a tender moment. The day was sunny and pleasant for our homecoming activities. It began with a parade of colorful floats. Next a picnic with all the trimmings. There was food, drink, sack races, a pep rally, a make-up booth, a pumpkin pie contest, pumpkin carving contest, and friends both old and new. The mounted. The football team played Barstow, which to the disappointment of all, we lost. The half-time show crackled with anticipation as the queen was announced. There was fireworks which graced the evening with class, and the Poly band provided the music. But, before the evening came to a close there was the annual homecoming dance for students and alumni. The band Freeway played the popular disco and mellow songs of the time. And as the day finished the students of Poly had many memories of this day.
