MR. B. F. THORSON has a heavy load to carry as Dean of Boys and Attendance Supervisor. His schedule is filled by ordering textbooks, supervising the use of student body funds, and directing athletic events, such as the interclass track meet. Commonly known as Doc, he is a friend to all Poly students. MR. ARTHUR SMITH is the head counselor at Poly. He assists stu- dents in planning for college and sends their high school transcripts to the college of their choice. He is also in charge of the testing program at Poly and helps students interpret test scores. A friendly and willing member of the faculty, Mr. Smith is a familiar person to most students. Understanding, sound advice, guid- ance, and sincere interest are only a few of the qualities that describe MISS JEAN THAYER, Dean of Girls. Being advisor to Girls' League, she has become very close to many girls here at Poly. Miss Thayer is never too busy to offer sympathy and understanding to any student needing help with problems. Many students leave Poly with wonderful memories of our Dean of Girls.
