THIS WE BELIEVE , - I believe in boys and girls, the men and women of tomorrow. I also believe that whatsoever they sow, they shall reap. The administration at Riverside sincerely hopes we have helped you to sow good seeds which will Bring forth a harvest of useful, happy, healthy, self supporting citizens May this book be more than a souvenir to you, may it serve as a re- minder of happy and profitable school days. A prayer written by General Douglas McArthur is my wish for you. nBuild me a son, O'Lord, who will be strong enough to know when he is weak and brave enough to face himself when he is afraid, one who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat, but humble and gentle in victory. Build me a son whose wishes will not replace his actions- a son who will know Thee, and that to know himself is the foundation stone of knowledge. tSend him, I pray, not in the path of ease and comfort but the stress and spur of difficulties and challenge, here let him learn compassion for those who fail.
