The Coward never started, The Weak died on the way, Only the Strong come through. In carrying out the venturesome assignment of producing the Trojans' first annual, there were those who wished we'd never started, those who tired on our long journey and with- ered away, and those, thank God, who had the determination and fortitude needed so des- perately to master our tentative plan and complete this awesome task, the 1968-69 Tro- jan Staff or the Dark Room Crew. - W Producing a first was, for the most part, days of procrastination followed by days of despair. It was missing classes and failing, migrane headaches, confusion and excitement, and finances on top of finances. It was sacrifice, patience, and sometimes-just sometimes -it was even fun!!! R v t t On behalf of the Trojan Staff I acknowledge with sincere appreciation the co-operation and services rendered by the Riverside Administration, the faculty, the student body, and ghe community. For your every effort toward aiding us with our cause, we say Thank ou. R To those for whom this book was intended, the 'Graduating Classof Nineteen-Hundred Sixty-Nine, a thought to remember: I ' t A thing of beauty is a joy forever, ' ' 1 Its Loveliness increases, it will never . ' . ' U John Keats Such is a memory-and of our senior year there can only be beautiful memories. 'Mem- ories, whose values as days go by will mean more to us than any earthly treasure. Mem- ories, that when all else is silent, will tell of the fun days, work days, days of sorrow and frustration, that we experienced at our Mighty Trojan Empire. Our high school romances, mischievous schemes, campus gripes, hated classes-these memories and more are the heights for which the Dark Room Crew strived, the objectives for which we attempted to enclose within these covers, the beauty and splendor that we hope in future years will be a joy forever. Leaving best wishes to the next Trojan Staff, I am most gratefully yours Wanda E. Johnson, Editor-in-Chief Pass into nothingness...
