VIGTDHYW UVER HOLY GRUSS HIGHLIGHTS A spirited bon-fire on Friday night, a 14-13 victory over Holy Cross, the splendor of class lloats and club representatives, all added up to Homecoming 1974. Working under the general theme of uAdvertisements7i each class constructed a lloat in a three week period. The seniors selected Hifisher Price Toysfi the juniors '4Post Raisin Branf' the sophomore class picked uSears7 Winnie the Pooh, and the Freshmen chose 4'Keebler Cookiesn as their topic. As the four floats paraded around the football field at half- time, area artists and teachers judged them on their originality, color scheme and construction. In the evening a Homecoming Dance was held in the gym where Karen Renefrey was named Home- coming Queen and the seniors were announced the winners of the float competition. During the night, liou Nociti, football team co-captain, was presented the Nolder-Devine Trophy, given to the winner of Ram-Lancer gridiron game. Sophomores' Sears Winnie the Pooh characters wave to spectators during homecoming festivities of the Riverside-Holy Cross game. Michele Terreri, a member of the Varsity Squad, enthusiastically kicks to Mr. Touchdown. Wllhe dance was well organized. AMarrianne lielejko As joe Sheairs is lifted on shoulders after an upset over rival Holy Cross, Riverside football players cheer with excitement. I4 adventures Lou Nociti accepts the Nolder-Devine trophy with great pride at the l974 Homecoming dance held in the Riverside gymnasium this year. Hl'lOlIl0COlT1lllg was a real success this year. The guys played great in the game and the classes worked hard on their floats. Even the dance had a big turnout. -Cathy Eubank Class of '78 shows the crowd that they have plenty of chocolate chips and even a lot more spirit to spread. f
