F UREWORD his yearbook, a record of our past experience, is the introduction to our Book of Life. Here we chronicle all the events, the personalities, the activities, and the'circum- stances which have shaped our lives in the pattern yet to be revealed in the Book of Life. Books have been an integral part of our past exper- iences. Textbooks, references, anthologies, albums, scrap- books, notebooks, directories, all the myriad of fact and fiction, our record would be incomplete without them. They stand as symbols of our lives during these four years. Therefore we unify the experience of these four years in terms of books, a volume of past experiences made up of many chapters, the various facets of our high school career. And now, as seniors, we close this book of our youth with regret, but with anticipation take up the book of our future. As we turn the pages of the new volume, we hope to increase in breadth of understanding and intelligence. While drawing on the book of the past, we shall be forever indebted to those who have helped us fill its pages with truth and experience. Another book has opened, which is the Book of Life. 4
