Chosen to represent Riverside at Midwestern District Choral Festival, after open competition, were Alex George, Karen Ross, Mary Ellen Cowen, Susan Merriman, and Clarence Barr. Susan, Mary, and Clarence were also chosen to go to the Regional Festival with a chance to advance to the state level. A new choral group initiated this year was the PASTELS, a girls trio. Pam Williams, Sandra Lumley, and Susan Merriman composed this versatile group which sang at various functions throughout the county.
