Members of the royal court are Gloria Smith, Mary Cordle, Albey Dale, Pam Townsend, and Stella Chandler. Captain Larry Brasher and Co-Captain Randy Pope es¬ cort the Homecoming Queen. This post-game huddle was seen at all the ’72 Panthers games, and we hope it, as well as their winning season, will become a Riverside tradition. 9 Special Evenis Mr. Townsend’s American Government Classes sponsored a mock general elec¬ tion that was fairly successful. The re¬ sults were identical to the way the real elections in Tennessee turned out. All the students at Riverside are always willing to get out of class to see a Southern Assembly Program. These FFA boys always seem to be competing and winning prizes. mmtLWJLVM State Representative G. L. Teague pre¬ sents a state flag, to Mr. Stanfill. The Round World Of Riverside Through the eyes of the fish of Beech River, the students of RHS are seen in a new perspective. 11 In the dead of Winter River¬ side High is alive with ex¬ citement. Christmas is more than just a time for being merry. Eating and drinking seem to be a part of the festivities that RHS students can’t ignore. 12 WE, the members of the RHS annual staff dedicate this page to our hard-working, fun-loving band. 14 15 Homecoming 1973 This was the fourth annual RHS Basketball Homecoming. It was the climax of the 72- 73 season, and an app ropriate beginning for the District 15S Tournaments which were host¬ ed by Riverside this year. The picture at left shows the Queen being crowned by Mr. Bill Perry, President of the Riverside Quarterback Club. The royal court is shown below as they leave the stage. Mrs. Alice Reid, our guidance counselor, is always there to give a kind helping hand to students in their time of need. Mrs. Peggy Hayes and Mrs. Jimmie Dixon, our teachers aides, are always willing and waiting to serve our teachers. 101 Understanding and patient are two words which describe our principal, Mr. Wayne Starifil 1. His willingness to serve the students has made him a well respected principal. As assistant principal, Mr, Chandler has contributed much to the discipline at Riverside. He is always busy and works hard to keep R. H. S. running smoothly. 102 MRS. WANDA TOWNSEND: UTM. Bachelor of Science Education. English I, Typing I. MRS. GLENDA MOORE: Bethel College.
