The first order of the day is catching up on the latest “gossip.” The Riverside Students enjoy the class breaks to show their friendliness to each other. After a hard day of business - like procedure, Mr. Holmes leaves for the comforts of family life - - As the day ends, students again wait to board the buses to head home. 7

Opening day brings many talented speakers and . . . The typical day begins as the ‘yellow dogs’’ roll in. Students settle down for some hard studying and the day has started. . . . many interested visitors and parents

We dedicate this book with a feeling of deep affection for a wonderful person It is also dedicated with a feeling of gratitude for the many kindnesses and favors done for us. In the years to come, we will remember him as a friend, principal, and counselor. He is always near when someone needs a helping hand, and his strength of character, quiet dignity, and understanding symbolize the ideals we have set for ourselves. The dedication of the 1966 MEMORIES, which must represent a symbol of our gratitude, is a small token indeed with which to reward constant vigilance and calm and administrative activities. But we take this opportunity, however small, to express our sincere thanks to you, Mr. Harold Holmes, for being the guiding light by which our school functions. 8
