Football... ONE PURPOSE of any good yearbook is to help settle arguments that may arise years after the excitement of a particular event has died down and been temporarily forgotten. What happened to Riverside ' s football aspirations in 1954? You v ill find the ansv ers in the next few pages. For some reason football has become the most exciting of sports on the collegiate scene. As a mere game it is a moulder of moods — participants and spectators alike moving from the heights to the depths during the frenzy of a close game. Photographs by James Halverson presented on these division pages catch, we believe, the dramatic moments and the sideline color which make football games treasured if occasionally irritating recollections.
