DEDICATION To E. Pauline Cree we lovingly dedicate our 1962 yearbook. Pauline is one of the foundation stones of the Riverside Christian Day School, having been active through work and prayer in its growth from the very beginning when located on 10th St. She has been a mother to the little ones, a nurse to the sick and injured ones and a blessing to all of us. She is a faithful receptionist and a splendid general secretary; pouring on the oil of kindness whenever the machinery gets a little squeaky. Seeing her in action brings to mind the beautiful lines written by Stephen Grelle: I shall pass through this world but once. Any good thing that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any human being, let me do it now . . . for I shall not pass this way again. We are so happy to have her around, and we thank God for her. We hope to enjoy her friendship and fellowship and dedicated service for a long time to come.

It is certainly gratifying to see parents realizing the importance of sending their children to our Christian Day School. I would say that approximately six hours of each week-day a child will spend at school away from a parent ' s influence. There is a confidence in our teachers that they will be able to help in the development of the whole personality of their child. We are realizing more than ever that the youth of today should be taught to look at the world through the Bible not only on Sunday but throughout the week. Failure to do this can easily produce frustrated adults of tomorrow. We, at Christian Day School, are thankful for all who have a realistic approach to this business of guiding children in the way they should go. The task is huge and will take many many hours during the years, in which parents working together with Christian teachers will mold these personalities — our God- given responsibility—and produce moral and spiritual stamina in men and women for the FUTURE.
