,l 5 -- llnmmissinned Illffilzers Senior Class nf 1942 1938-1939. .We enter upon our freshman career as war is brewing in Europe. Remember those first years as buck privates in Camp R-B? They went off in marshall order because now that we have completed our training we can give a grand salute to the incoming rookies and tell them not to mind being in the guard house or on K.P. duty, occasionally, we didn't mind it. Who will ever forget that first year when we knew little of the general's tactics? we took Aubrey Fanning as our Private, First Class, with M. Baker, A. Marsh, and W. Killens serving him as able bodied assistants. 1939-1940. Then came our second year when we began to appear brighter for all the drilling. With Jeanne Penney in command of the corporals and T. Rottunno, E. Turner, and B. Hill cheering us on how could we help but get ourselves worked into a lather for that third ordeal that was really child's play. And how could we ever forget this year!
