WELCOME TO WELCOME TO THE on electricity When night fell, there wos nothing to do. A candlelight dinner may sound romontic. but ofter three or four nights, it begins to wear thin. No lights, no radio, and no television oil odded up to nothing to do For most, the storm wos only on inconve- nience. since their power wos restored in o few days. But for some, the storm wos more of o disaster They hod no power for over o week, so they lost oil their perishoble food This, plus the foct that they hod no running hot water, mode these people especially ongry or LILCO. Eventually though, things returned to normal for them. too. Hurricane Gloria didn't bring much roin. but the Homecoming weekend did. The down- IWERHEAD.
