This year's foil pep roily was one the students of RHS were reolly looking forword to After the ex- ceptional performance of lost year's Vorsity foot- boll team they reolly hod something to shout about, they wonted the team to know thot they hod the right stuff to repeat lost year's record The roily itself hod o lot going for It The ever- populor Curtis Highsmith was the emcee, which meant that the roily wos sure to be run in his energetic style Cindy Lull s stunning performance of the Star Spangled Bonner ond the stoge bond, led for the first rime by Mr Goldwyn. both odded great musicol touches to the festivities. The routines of both the JV ond Varsity cheerleaders were bet- ter thon ever All this, plus the amount of energy ond spirit the students hod thot afternoon mode it look like it wos going to be on exceptionally well- run pep roily Unfortunately, on incident involving on obstinate student ond o firecracker held up the pep rally just long enough thot the remainder of the program hod to be rushed. The students of RH5 didn't let this ruin their day. though For the seniors, this wos their lost Homecoming ever, ond they were determined to moke the best of it. so they shouted their support for their fovorite teams even louder thon before To help students get in the mood . the seniors passed oround gorboge bogs of shredded newspoper so there would be plenty of confetti to throw.
