SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS — Secretary — Risa Anker, Vice President — Craig Hughes, President — Andrea Scherzer, Treasurer — Cheryl Walsh. Senior Class Advisors: Mrs. Mary Brown, Mrs. Barbara Moses. At the dance Queen Tina Hale and King Pat Harris were crowned. It was a profitable weekend for the class making close to $400 from the dance, float and a Homecoming carnation sale. At this time plans for our Senior Trip to Tamiment Resort in April are coming together. Our officers are look- ing into places for the Prom. Graduation has been planned for indoors. The history of the class of ’83 will be a closed book on June 27, 1983.

As school began so did our magazine drive and our tradition of being without an advisor the first day of school. Our magazine drive went well, with our class putting close to $5,000 in the bank. Top sellers were Cheryl Blasko, Mike Lao, and Chris Worthington. We still had the problem of no advisor, however, the problem was solved with sud- den appearance of Mrs. Mommy” Moses and Mrs. Aunt Mary Brown. Things were beginning to look up. We started working on our float, which was a tribute to the class with the theme “Caps off to '83,” and all seniors hoped for first place. It appeared that we had won first, but due to a mathematical error, we had to settle for second place, at least it was not last. However, cheers soon ceas- ed after the back board gave way and Diane McCabe, Cheryl Walsh, Paul Wulforst, Lisa Wedel, Cheryl Blasko, and Dore VanSlyke went tumbling onto the parking lot. The news review entitled our float Doomed. That night we co-sponsored the Homecoming Dance with Student Government.

Charlie has contributed his time and labor over the past four years to help the Class of 1983 construct its floats. The construction of the Homecoming float is probably the single most important and difficult project faced by any class during the school year. In addition to his incomparable support, Charlie has always been extremely generous in allowing our class to utilize his barn for the float meetings and construction of all of the floats. Charlie McKay has shown a great deal of devotion to our class and for this we, the Class of 1983, would like to thank a very special man. Thank you Charlie!
