HEEREN Thomas Harrison has contributed to the success of the Track team for two years ami has made a name for himself in his last three years as a member of the Cross Country team. “Tommy’s” academic ability enabled him to become a member of Honor Society. Jane Hart was a member of the Pep Club for two years. As a Junior she participated in Library Club and was a great help to the attendance office. “Janie” spent her Senior year at the Vocational School. Rich Hazzard is good natured, ambitious and always quick to come up with a joke. Rich and his “tire marks” will always be remembered. Ruthie Heeren has been an active mem- ber of the Pep Club, Drama Club and Orchestra. Nora Hopkins has attended both Mercy and Mattituck High Schools. Since her arrival in Riverhead High School, she has been in Pep Club and The Variety Show. A member of the Girls Leaders Club, Susie Hughes was an active member of the Volleyball, Basketball, and Baseball teams. A member of the Football team for three years Clifton Head” Hulse was Football manager in his Senior year. He has partici- pated in Wrestling, Track and the Pollution Day Cleanup. HARRIS Always laughing and happy, Joan Guyder was in Art Club, the School Play, the Yearbook, and the Dance Committee. A first- place winner of the Fire Prevention Contest and a member of the National Honor Society, she wants to become a fashion de- signer. Kathy Hackert has been a member of the Library Club and of the Girls’ Softball team. She had the honor of winning the Southampton Republic Essay Contest in her Junior year. Linda Haizlip, who is a member of the National Honor Society and the Art Club, enjoys sewing and home economics. A future secretary, she likes to read alraut politics and politicians. Rosa Hale, who is never afraid to say what is on her mind, was a General Organization Representative in her senior year. A cheer- leader for two years, the Minister of Culture for Black Students United, and a member of the Black Ensemble, “Lizzie” plans to attend Albany University. Jeff Hallock is always around whenever anyone needs help in anything. His warm smile and cheerful personality will go far. Tim Hansen, who plans to attend Automotive School, has participated in Cross Country, Track, and Weight Lifting. Fred Harris, who has attended the Vocational School, plans to be a computer programmer. Terry Harris has participated in Pep Club, Tennis, Badminton and Volleyball. “Camel” enjoys waterskiing, dancing, swimming, and going out. She has chosen office work as her career.

Lynne Hulse has been an asset to the French Club, Band, Pep Club, and Student Action Committee. She participated in the In- tramurals for two years. An active and concerned student, she has been on such committees as the Headstart Christmas Party Committee, the New High School Committee, and the Student Advisory Council. An attendant at the NY State Education De- partment Conference at C.W. Post University, she wants to go into the field of elementary education. Paul Hunninghaus hides many unique interests behind a quiet exterior. He will be most remembered by his quiet willingness to help others. Gary Jackson is a shy person who says very little. He is co-sports editor of the Zenger Press and was a meml er of the Track team during his sophomore, junior, and senior years. Jeanette Jackson was a very nice girl who participated in the R.H.S. Band in her freshman year. She has no plans for the future, but is sure to succeed in any career she chooses. Lawyer Jackson, better known as “Choo Choo” but more affectionately called “Charlie,” has been very active in school activities. He participated in the Interracial Council and the Red Cross Headstart Party. He enjoyed playing in all sports including Track, Football, and Wrestling. He devoted many hours in his junior and senior years to the Black Ensemble. He also helped to put this yearbook in print, as he is Boys’ Sports Editor. With his outgoing personality and his impish smile he is sure to go far in the field of busi- ness. Always smiling and cheerful, Judy Jacunski has been a member of the Student Affairs Committee, French Club, Spanish Club, and Yearbook staff. She was elected French Club President and Cheering Co-Captain. Cathy Jayne has been on the Stu- dent Action Committee, the Student Affairs Committee, Yearbook staff and in Choir. She is also a member of the Volleyball team, a cheerleader for three years, and a member of the Headstart Party Committee. She wants to go into elementary educa- tion. Known to his friends as “Jazz,” Danny Johnson has been President of the Black Students United, a member of the Black Ensemble and of the B.S.U. Talent Show Committee.
