Charles Claiborne seems to be a very quiet person until one gets to know him. He is an avid outdoorsman and a valuable friend. I aura Cobey has l een a quiet, serious member of the school newspaper, the Orchestra and the Field Hockey team. She has won both the Gregg Shorthand Award and the SHS Shorthand Award. We are sure that she’ll make a pleasant and reliable secretary. Lori Columbus, who has been known for her sparkling eyes and ever present smile, has been a valuable member of the Pep Club and the Yearbook staff. She plans to be a secretary. Lester Cooke has contributed valuably to our school through his member- ship in the French Club, the General Organization, the Honor Society, Boys’ State, and the Student Action Committee. Always sincere and willing to be a friend, “Cookie” hopes to be- come an engineer. Penny Corby, since her transfer from Rhode Island, has participated ac- tively in the choir. She has taken part in the NYSSMA and the RISSMA. Cheerful and good- natured, she’ll be a valuable addition to the Navy. A well-built and capable athlete, Timmy Corwin has been a valuable member of the Football Team for four years. Always where the action is, he has been a member of the Bonfire Committee for two years. A great athlete, Rob- bie Costantini has been an asset to our Football, Basketball and Baseball teams for four years. He was chosen for All-League Baseball for two years. In his senior year, he was co-cap- tain of all three sports. In addition to his athletic achievements, he has participated in French Club, Spanish Club, Math Club and the Bonfire Committee. We wish him luck in all of his future en- deavors. Rudy Buckholtz has always had a smile on his face. He was a member of the Freshman Football team. He wants to be a refrigeration technician. Lyn Bulak has been a mem- ber of the Pep Club and the Yearbook Staff. She had the honor of being inducted into the National Honor Society. Warm and sincere, she plans to pursue a secretarial career in which she will certainly be a success. Cheerful and friendly, Luanne Burlee loves music and sports. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Band and Orchestra. She partici- pated in the NYSSMA Solo contest and the NYSSMA Band State Sectional contest. She hopes to pursue a secretarial ca- reer. Donald Carreio is a fun loving and happy person. His wonderful nature and personality is appreciated and valued by all who know him. John Caruso played the drums in the band and orchestra. He was also a member of the National Honor Society. He has an outgoing personality and loves cars. Always ready to lend a hand, Yvonne Cherouski has been a hard working member of the Yearbook staff. She has also been a valuable member of the Library Club, the Latin Club, the Band, and the Field Hockey Team. She was chosen for New York Girls State and has participated in the NYSSMA solo contest for two years. She plans to go into the field of Marine Science. John Cotton was in the top ten in the country for cross coun- try. He was also in the track team for four years. He was in the Halloween Dance Committee. Michael Coyle has been an active member of both the Band and the Orchestra for all four years. A hard worker, he will surely succeed in the field of engineering. Patty Cramer is a bouncy blonde whose tal- ents are numerous and versatile. Vic Crump was active in Wrestling in his freshman and sophomore years. He hopes to become an auto mechanic. A natural clown, “DP” John Da- nowski has been an asset to the Varsity Choir, the Choral Teens, Library Club, Baseball Team, and on the successful Halloween Dance Decoration Committee. He hopes to become a Biologist. Shirley Darrow transferred from Mercy High this past year. Shirley is quiet as most creative people are. Eliza- beth D’Elia was better known as “Betty Jo.” Her vivacious and outgoing nature will be remembered by all. Glenn Dil- linger has been a member of the French Club, and the Bas- ketball and Soccer teams. He was a valuable member of the Baseball team for all four years.
