i Anthony J. Braun 1968 marks the retirement of a well-known Riverhead faculty member. Mr. Braun has taught for a number of years, and has received recognition for his remarkable achievements in the field of education. Mr. Anthony Braun, born in Rochester, Pennsylvania, graduated from Hutchin- son Central High School in Buffalo. Continuing his education, he received his B.S. degree from Buffalo State Teachers College in 1937 and his M.A. from Columbia in 1942. Mr. Braun became a member of Riverhead’s faculty in 1937. Well qualified as a shop teacher due to fifteen years of industrial business ex- perience before launching his teaching career, he also gained experience as a soldier and officer in the New York National Guard. The student body will es- pecially miss Mr. Braun’s influence on industrial arts careers. As graduating seniors, the Class of 1968 wishes to thank this retiring teacher for his contribution educationally, and for giving us favorable memories of our High School years. Mr. Braun symbolizes R.H.S. as we know it, and therefore, with his retirement, we will be one of the last classes to remember and praise the dedication of Mr. Braun. 13
