One of the most beloved members of our Faculty graduated from Riverhead High School in 1938. Following high school, he attended Ithaca College and received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1942. Answering the call of his country, he entered the serv- ice in 1942 and served as an Army Cap- tain in the European Theatre until 1946. He then went back to Ithaca College where he taught for a year and received his Mas- ter’s Degree. From 1947 until 1950 he was on the faculty of Hobart College. But on February 28, 1951, he joined the staff of Riverhead High School. In September of 1952 he was made Director of Physical Education. His leadership through thick and thin has always proved steadfast. It is with gratitude for all your time and effort that the class of 1966 dedicates our year- book to you— Mr. Michael J.
