We hear today of the conflict in Vietnam, the war in the Middle East, and other numerous outbreaks in coun- tries near and far. These nations, like the United States , are fighting for free- dom. Americans have been blest with freedom, but not because we have crouched in the background. On the contrary, we have fought, are fighting, and will continue to fight for our rights and the rights of others . Our present and future freedom de- pends on the men in our armed forces whose duty it is to defend our country. As a tribute to the graduates of River- dale High School who have served or are now serving in some branch of the service, the 1967 Talon Staff has at- tempted to formulate a composite of the graduates and their branch of the service.
