To study about other countries and other times is important to each pupil in understanding how his own government works. It is the duty of each person to see that the government is well mn. Senior government is tlie final step toward adult citizenship.

THE BRAIN TEASERS Hasta manana, is a frequent expression of Michele Davis as she leaves her Spanish I class each day. In English class she trans- lates this for he r classmates, See you to- morrow. In Spanish class you learn how to speak better English and in English you learn how to speak Spanish well. Does this make sense? To the English-Spanish class it does. This is the reason you should have a good basis in English before you tackle a foreign lan- guage. At Riverdale tlie pupils receive this in their English classes, so that they are pre- pared for tlieir foreign language.

PRACTICAL MINDS As the boys in our agriculture department are learning to become better farmers, they learn to improve the land by soil conserva- tion and good farm management. Good judgement is important. In the home economics, the girls learn how to run efficient homes through lessons on nutrition, clothing, and child care. They leam how to improve their personal ap- pearance by good grooming.
