eading 'lla .7 CAROLYN COPELAND PRESIDENT Completely oblivious of what the next four years would hold for us, we entered S. H. S. in 1949 as green freshmen. The tortures of Freshman Day were somewhat for- gotten that night during the merry- making ofthe traditionalFreshman Party. Our sophomore year held many challenges along the line of hard study. Extra curricular activities became more important as each stu- dent branched out into the fields of his interests. Looking forward with anticip- ation to our Washington trip as sen- iors, we concentrated our efforts toward making the necessary funds. We will always remember those seven short days of the trip as the most wonderful ones we have ever spent together. 'I he first two weeksofour sen- ior year were spent in making the days miserable for the freshmen. Our thoughts then turned to the ser- ious business ofmaking our last year count. This annual will serve as a reminder of the past year which has been so dear to our hearts.
